Бесит, когда Локи не любят только потому, что он, видите ли, образом не совпал с прототипом из мифов. В чем проблема? Просто не смешивайте этих двух персонажей.

I just saw Thor : Ragnarök (No Spoilers just thoughts)
And it was really really GOOD ! Thor was really well written this time, fun, charismatic and did not take himself seriously at all, which is perfect for him. The story is satisfying and it felt like I was waching a cartoon : simple in a good kind of way. However, imo this film is very different than every other Marvel’s creation up to now. And it has NOTHING to do with Guardians of the Galaxie. The tone is not the same, neither are the visuals or the humor.

Loki is in a LOT of scenes, (fun, action, emotional, everything) which will make you happy if you’re a fan of the character and of Tom. He’s awesome as always (and ULTRA sexy), and his interractions with Thor are everything I was hopping for. Not overly angsty, not dramatic, just realistic and brotherly. If you have siblings, you’ll love it !

Hulk/Banner is so fun, every scenes he’s in there’s something new and inventive for the character. If you’ve ever watched the cartoon The Avengers, this is the Hulk of This film. The scenes btw Thor and Banner are the best bits of improv I’ve seen in a long time !

Valkyrie is MARVELLOUS. My favorite newest character. Tessa Thompson really is a great actress, she’s fierce and super funny and trully strong during fight sequences and so beautiful throughout the film.

New characters are great as well, Skurge (Karl Urban whom I love) made me laugh out loud very often with his delivery, and Jeff Goldblum is perfectly weird. Korg is the sweetest. Cate is beautiful in every sense of the term as always but without giving anything away I would have loved “more” for her character.

An old acquaintance is coming back in this film with A LOT a cool stuff to do. It’s about time this character shines in a Marvel movie as I love this actor. (that’s all I can reveal)

The OST is wonderful, made me think of “Stranger Things” if you’ve watched it. (If you haven’t get you priorities straight !). The musical atmosphere is one of the main reasons why this film felt extremely different from all the other Marvels.

I will give an advice for those who have to wait to see “Thor : Ragnarök” : do yourself a favor and stop spoiling yourself because I can tell you that a lot has been shown in the various clips and trailers already. And I’m not talking about secret cameos or plot points (those aren’t what made this film GREAT imo) but really the scenes between the main characters. The less you see in advance, the more you’ll appreciate in the theater.

Brief Thor Ragnarok thoughts
So I just got back from seeing Thor Ragnarok and…

That was a really bad two and half hours. I may spend more time at some point when I have the energy typing out a full review explaining why I think this movie was bad.

However, to put it simply, it seemed to want to be an all out comedy but didn’t actually go all in on that at all. It tried to be a serious story at times, but undercut every emotional moment with jokes that mostly didn’t land. Tried to set up a menacing villain that had no motivation, or character, and cracked bad jokes every time she was meant to be imposing.

Every scene on Asgard, bar the scene of the play near the beginning, was pretty bad. Most action scenes are against faceless, meaningless CGI drones which get swatted away like annoying flies. But as there’s hundreds of them, you have to sit through minutes upon minutes of boring action. So the only good action scene in the whole movie was the Thor vs. Hulk scene.

In fact, the only two things I enjoyed about the movie were Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster and the Hulk. And unfortunately, even the Grandmaster was a bit hit and miss.

And some of the special effects were… a bit off. To give away no spoilers, there’s a scene with Thor and Loki in a field looking out at water. There are shots taken from behind them, looking out at the water in front of us. The field they’re in and the water are clearly green screened in as the lighting on the characters is a lot brighter than on every bit of scenery, and the lighting drastically changes between shots.

There’s a scene with Hela killing a bunch of soldiers where every single character, including Hela, is a bad CGI model. Which gave me flashbacks to the scene in The Matrix Reloaded with Neo and the hundreds of Agent Smith.

The problem is that the film wasn’t funny enough to be a good comedy, wasn’t emotionally investing enough to be a good drama, and didn’t have enough good action scenes to be a good action movie.

Which is disappointing as I wanted to like this movie, and other people seemed happy with it. But I would honestly rather rewatch Batman v Superman than rewatch this.

If anyone does have any questions, then I’m more than willing to respond. As long, of course, as you don’t see me really disliking this movie as some sort of personal attack.

But yeah, the two Marvel movies I’ve seen this year have been really disappointing (Thor and GOTG 2). Was Spider-Man: Homecoming any good?
